The primary goals for the Rhawnhurst Elementary School modernization project include the addition of classrooms and small group instruction spaces to meet the enrollment demands of the pre-K-5 general and special education students. The overall facility was re-organized, creating a distinct Pre-Kindergarten through second grade school, separating it from the third through fifth grade houses. Each house includes vibrant collaborative learning environments.
Additional scope of work was to improve safety and efficiency of student travel throughout the site. Critical building systems were replaced or upgraded as needed.
