As a result of the Prince Edward County Courthouse addition/renovation project, a new 20,000 SF office building was designed for the Department of Social Services (DSS) and lease space for an office tenant.
Spaces include secure Lobby with Clerks stations, interview rooms, private offices, staff work area, conference rooms, break room and long term storage. The building is designed to limit the public access to only the lobby and interview rooms. The building is steel frame with masonry and metal panel veneer. Future expansion of the DSS project was designed into the building. The relocation of the DSS permitted the best phasing and expansion for the Courts function at the Courthouse.
