Two Graduate Architects Join CRA

CRA is happy to welcome two new Graduate Architect’s to our team – Jeff Klynsma and Parker Vanderven.

Jeff Klynsma graduated from Iowa State University in 2019 and has been working in the Architecture + Engineering world for 5 years, in the education, government, commercial and corporate sectors.

“Up until moving to Pennsylvania at the end of February 2024, I have lived my entire life in the Midwest (mostly Iowa). My wife of 3 1/2 years, Julie, completed her PhD in Dairy Cattle Nutrition in December 2023 and found a perfect fit for her niche field with Land O’Lakes/Purina dairy, based out of central Pennsylvania. Julie and I moved here along with our objectively adorable dog, Copper.”

“Outside of architecture, I find enjoyment from a variety of interests and hobbies. If I’m travelling, you’ll often find me camping or hiking, enjoying the natural world. When I have some extra free time, you might find me on a golf course or at a race track, in a museum or at a concert. If I’m home, I’m likely enjoying board games with Julie, working on some home improvement project, playing piano for fun, or dabbling in sim racing.

More than any of those things, however, I enjoy getting to know people and spending my life along the lives of others. I can’t wait to join the team!”

Parker Vanderven joins us full time after interning at CRA for the past two years.

“Though I moved to Boiling Springs when I started high school, I am originally from Rochester in upstate New York and attended university not far from there in the Syracuse University BArch program for the last 5 years which I just graduated from this last week. Though I will miss the snowy winters, I’m glad to be now back in Pennsylvania with my parents and 3 little brothers that I love spending time with.”

“Besides my interest in architecture and design, I’m very passionate about reading history and playing history or strategy related board and video games as well as more active hobbies with my little brothers as we all love soccer and follow the English Premier League. I also serve at my local church doing the sound ministry and recording teachings in the church/school building I helped design that was completed nearly a year ago now.

I have worked as an intern at CRA over the past two years during my summer and winter breaks from school and now look forward to seeing everyone again as I start full time!”

We are very pleased to welcome these new team members!
