CRA Welcomes Five New Team Members

CRA is proud and excited to welcome some new employees this year: Ashley Baldwin, Kevin Bevenour, Atsen Bulus, Kaitlyne Swenson and Benjamin Trudel.

Ashley Balwin has joined CRA as a Graduate Architect. She graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor of Science, and Georgia Institute of Technology with her Master’s in Architecture. In her free time she enjoys yoga, running, hiking with her dogs and sketching / drawing. After interning with CRA for 3 years, she is excited to be a full-time employee. “I enjoy the CRA team (the people), our collaborative design approach, and the studio-wide drive to advance and succeed.” Welcome back Ashley!

Kevin Bevenour joined our team as a Construction Administrator. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Science, Landscape Construction focus, from Pennsylvania State University. In his free time, Kevin enjoys working around the house, and he also officiates football, basketball and lacrosse from youth to NCAA level. Kevin has extensive experience with the higher education market, previously working for Penn State University York Campus, Millersville University and Gettysburg College. He is a certified Educational Facilities Professional (CEFP) through APPA (a national higher education facilities group). Kevin states, “I am excited for some new opportunities and to use my 27 years of experience and knowledge in higher education facilities management to ease the building construction / renovation process for our clients and make sure it’s a positive process for them.”

Atsen (AT) Bulus joins us a Project Architect. He graduated from the University of Michigan, where he earned his Master’s in Architecture. With his free time, AT enjoys playing golf and soccer, and wood-working. “I love the culture here,” says AT, “everyone is team-oriented, the collaborative approach to design, and an ability to get involved all phases of design. I’m looking forward to contributing more on the development side of the company.”

Kaitlyne Swenson has joined our team as an Administrative Assistant. She graduated in May of 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and a minor in Art from Shippensburg University. In her free time, Kaitlyne enjoys crafting and traveling / exploring new places. She hopes to travel to all 50 states (18/50 done) and some new countries. Kaitlyne says she is excited to work for a company that values their employees. “So far, everyone has been very welcoming, and the environment is very positive and uplifting. I look forward to coming in every week and I no longer get the Sunday scaries!”

Benjamin Trudel is joining our Virginia office as a Project Architect. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Miami University and a Master’s of Architecture from the University of Virginia. When Ben isn’t spending time with his two daughters, he likes to mountain bike, golf, play guitar and chess. Ben is most excited about “working in an office that is dedicated to creating architecture that is thoughtful, sustainable, and beneficial to all who are impacted by the project.”
