The Schoolhouse Hotel was originally built in 1921 by the local Masons and was gifted to the city to serve as a High School. The building sat vacant for several years but is now re-purposed as a Fully Accessible, Boutique Hotel with 30 guest rooms. The hotel is a “universal design” hotel for all people with special needs and accommodates hearing impaired, blind, physical disability and social/emotional disabilities.
The hotel is part of a City Revitalization much needed after devastating floods in 2016. The hotel is located near the Greenbrier Golf Course and Resort and will provide additional accommodations for guests traveling to the Greenbrier. In addition to the 30 rooms the hotel includes a business center, fitness center, rooftop deck, ballroom and a full commercial kitchen to accommodate guests and social events.
