The new replacement school provides innovative learning environments and flexibility for future programs. The design of the school provides for multiple academic wings, to house 1,200 students, which are connected by a Main Commons/Cafeteria.  This Main Commons serves as a separation between the social and gathering spaces and the academic spaces. A separation is beneficial for safety and security, community use, noise control and wayfinding.  The two academic wings hold 7th and 8th grades and have eight Team Clusters. Each Team Cluster includes classrooms, science labs and breakout spaces for collaboration. The school design also includes a 600 capacity black box theatre and a 600 capacity gymnasium, each able to hold one grade level.

While the new Middle School was being constructed, the existing Middle School remained in operation until June 2021. For the start of the 2021-22 school year, students relocated to the new middle school and the existing Middle School was vacated and demolished to finalize the site work.
