Dallastown Intermediate School
The 1,800 student Dallastown Intermediate School is designed as three 600 student “schools within a school” all connected to a common core. The three academic wings house all basic classroom spaces as well as science, art, special education and small group rooms. The core facilities include the library, auditorium, music program spaces, gym and locker rooms, and cafeteria.
Team teaching is the instruction delivery model and “Full Inclusion” is the model for special education. The independent study method allows instruction to occur in a variety of spaces which will allow teachers the opportunity to present content under real-world and relevant circumstances.
