Commonwealth Charter Academy – Dickson City

Dickson City, PA

The Dickson City Teacher Center is a conversion of an existing 16,000 sf Petco Retail Store. The modern Academy includes flexible learning environments which accommodate one-on-one student/teacher learning. The facility is equipped with technology to support “LIve Lesson Rooms” in which web casts are conducted for a wide variety of educational demonstrations. The facility serve the needs for new student orientation, parent/student-teacher meetings, hands-on lab experiments and state-mandated testing.

Crabtree, Rohrbaugh & Associates serves as Architect of Record for Commonwealth Connections Academy, a tuition-free, K-12 public cyber charter school in Pennsylvania that allows students to attend school from home. The Academy is currently developing regional teacher centers throughout the Pennsylvania in which each location serves a given radius and provides a physical workplace for the teachers and administrators.
