Steel Orca, Monmouth Junction, NJ
Crabtree, Rohrbaugh & Associates is designing this facility located in the Princeton Technology corridor in Monmouth, New Jersey to be LEED Platinum certified.
This digital utility facility with 350,000 sf of white space is designed to provide custom autonomous suites up to 100,000 sf. The facility features variable density, up to 60 MW of critical power, multiple UPS output voltages (AC & DC), and biometric ingress and egress portals in a digital burst environment.
From Steel Orca: “Most data center environments are configured and capitalized on the notion that 100% of the demand must be supported 100% of the time. The fact is that most of the time demand is far below 50% of capacity and only peaks in demand support the requirement for at least half of the digital infrastructure. The Steel ORCA Digital Burst Environment is built to support peaks in demand that can save user enterprises 50% of their capital investment and at the same time insure the integrity of the data and the transaction.”
